Wee Casa is a tiny house community and rental opportunity of about 2 dozen tiny homes on 10 acres in Lyons, a charming small town in northern Colorado, a fabulous opportunity to try your hand at “Tiny Living” before buying or building a tiny home of your own. The larger setting is tucked under some lovely limestone cliffs at the foot of the Rockies, just off the road to Rocky Mountain National Park.  Its location is a half hour drive north of Boulder or west of Longmont, i.e., northwest of Denver.

Lyons is a musical town that holds 2 music festivals each summer – Rocky Grass Bluegrass Festival in July and Rocky Mountain Folks Festival in August, held quite close to Wee Casa, and an easy walk to the cute shops and supply stores, bars, restaurants, and dispensaries of downtown Lyons, a town of around 2,000 people, average age ~36 with an even distribution of males and females. The average cost of homes in the area is ~$500,000 so owning or renting a tiny home so close to town is rather ideal.

Rentals of Wee Casa’s Tiny Homes start at around $150/night for 200-240sf of innovative tiny home space plus a $30 resort fee and 2-day minimum reservation, most with 70sf sleeping lofts, but several with main level beds as well, and high-end features in what might be described as a glamorous campground setting, surrounded by chunks of open space with hiking trails nearby.

Park placement seems dense at first glance, but they all share a common grassy back yard between 2 rows of “Tinys” where people gather around picnic tables and firepits during refreshingly cool summer evenings in the foothills of the Rockies.
